Bay Area - Hybrid Opportunity

Opportunities for remediation professionals in an established Environmental Engineering, Consulting, and Remediation company with offices in in California, including the San Francisco Bay Area. We provide environmental engineering consulting services, in addition to performing soil, groundwater and sediments remediation for a wide range of industries.

This is a great opportunity to join our growing company and to play an important role in undertaking several exciting large scale and complex remediation projects in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The ideal candidate has an engineering, geoscience, environmental science or similar degree and has experience in the environmental engineering/consulting industry.  Candidates with other relevant education, training and experience will be considered. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct or manage field work related to soil, groundwater and sediments investigations and remediation projects.

  • Conduct or manage field investigations including soil, soil gas, sediments, air and groundwater sampling, borehole logging, well installation and groundwater monitoring.

  • Conduct or manage various tasks during Site remediation activities including air monitoring and sampling, confirmation sampling and documentation, subcontractor coordination and oversight.

  • Assist in the preparation of technical documents including site assessment work plans and reports, removal action plans and remedial action completion reports, and monitoring reports.

  • Assist with technical evaluations of work scope, site conditions, data quality, and remedial alternatives.

  • Assist in construction quality assurance reviews.

  • Assist the remediation team in maintaining compliance with approved plans, designs and permit conditions.

  • Assist senior personnel in construction management and supervision of remediation staff and subcontractors.

  • Prepare or assist with remedial designs, cost estimates, schedules, and budgets.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • College degree in engineering, geoscience, environmental science or similar degree required.

  • 2+ years of experience in the environmental or geoscience industry and with a working knowledge of industry fundamentals.

  • Environmental field work experience and 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification.

  • Strong commitment to safety, including following established Health and Safety protocols.

  • Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.

  • Willingness to travel to job sites throughout northern California for the duration of a remediation project.

  • Effective written/verbal communication skills.

  • Proficient in the use of MS Word and Excel. 

  • Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to work with and collaborate with varying levels of personnel and with varying fields of expertise.

  • Willingness to learn new skills and develop experience in a variety of industry sub-disciplines.
