You will get to be a part of a diverse set of exciting and complex projects like the Golden Gate NRA, and the new Sacramento light rail station with clients like the City of Sacramento, Caltrans, SDSU, Tesla, and the CA Army National Guard to name a few.

Project Level tasks may include:

  • Setting up work plans and protocols, supervising field activities, coordinating field personnel and related activities for the purpose of implementing technically sound project plans. May also include implementation of field activities.

  • Directing teams of staff geologists, engineers, and/or field technicians for field investigations that include well drilling and installation, environmental investigations, and remediation efforts at various project locations.

  • Coordinating the collection and review of project data, including the reduction of field data to evaluate and determine future client needs and project requirements. Interpreting data, develop, and finalize a report for Project Manager’s review that appropriately documents findings and project remediation recommendations.

  • Ensure that individual task schedules, budgets, and client invoicing are monitored and reviewed in compliance with Company standards and client requirements to complete project work.

  • Participation in the development of junior staff and working with senior management to continue to grow as a consultant and leader of the firm.

  • Preparing reports, including descriptions of geology, hydrogeology, extent of contamination, and fate and transport of site contaminants.

  • Client interactions, utilizing effective communication skills while scheduling and performing field activities

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university in engineering, geology or related field with your EIT/GIT

  • 7+ years of experience

  • Willing to travel to project locations throughout California

  • In-office position to start with hybrid potential after you get acclimated

  • Must be able to wear respiratory protection and pass baseline physical for job position

  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record

  • Strong verbal and written communication, time management, and organizational skills

Desired but not required:

  • Master’s degree

  • PE/PG

  • Phase I, Phase II, and/or Stormwater experience

  • QSD/QSP (Qualified SWPPP Developer/Practitioner) Certification

  • 40-Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER) (29 CFR 1910.120)

  • Remediation experience - we have a great remedial engineer that someone could learn under!

Salary: DOE $90-140k+
