Opportunities for Construction Managers in an established Environmental Engineering, Consulting, and Remediation company with offices in California, including the San Francisco Bay Area. We provide environmental engineering consulting services, in addition to performing soil, groundwater and sediments remediation for a wide range of industries.

This is a great opportunity to join our growing company and to play an important role in undertaking several exciting large scale and complex remediation projects in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The ideal candidate has an engineering, geoscience or construction-related degree and has remediation/construction management experience.  Candidates with other relevant education, training and experience will be considered. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage or conduct field work, including construction management and supervision of remediation staff and subcontractors.

  • Prepare or assist with remedial designs, cost estimates, schedules, and budgets.

  • Manage subcontractors and effectively communicate with regulatory inspectors, stakeholders, and clients during field activities.

  • Prepare construction specifications, work plans, environmental compliance plans, permits, and reports for air quality, hazardous waste, spill prevention, storm water, and wastewater.

  • Assist clients with compliance with federal, state and local regulations associated with remediation.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • College degree preferred.

  • 7+ years of relevant Remediation/Construction Management experience with good working knowledge of established construction means and methods, heavy equipment resources, standards of practice, and construction safety.

  • Ability to direct and manage a team of personnel and subcontractors and take ownership of site operations on a complex remediation site as the Construction Manager.

  • Environmental field work experience and 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification.

  • Strong commitment to safety, including following established Health and Safety protocols.

  • Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.

  • Willingness to travel to job sites throughout northern California for the duration of a remediation project.

  • Effective written/verbal communication and leadership skills.

  • Experienced and effective in managing Scope/Schedule/Budget with proper planning and contemporaneous documentation and reporting of changed conditions or concerns. 

  • Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to work with and collaborate with varying levels of personnel and with varying fields of expertise.
